Mega Hit "Ghajni"

With the Madras High Court lifting the stay order on the release of Ghajini , the movie is running to packed houses in major cities across India. A day before it’s worldwide release on Xmas, ‘Ghajini’ had 600 paid previews at different multiplexes in India. All the shows ran houseful.
Releasing in as many as 23 countries with a whopping 1500 prints, ‘Ghajini’ is set to become a blockbuster in the coming days, if the initial reactions to the film are to go by.
Though some critics have lambasted the film for its gory violence, everyone has lauded Aamir’s performance in it.
Meanwhile, the legal trouble is not yet over for Ghajini’s producers. They have only managed an interim order allowing the release of the film after paying to Madras High Court the guarantee money of Rs. 5 crore.
The movie’s release was earlier stayed after the producer of Ghajini (Tamil) accused the producers of the Hindi film of copyright violation.
The court will resume its hearing of the case on the January 6, 2009, but by then ‘Ghajini’ would have already become a mega hit.
